This competition was launched in Lombardy to build a design directory for high-performance, low-cost residential buildings. Both projects – the “residential tower” and the “slab” – meet several techincal requirements, i.e. sustainability, construction costs (1600 euros/sq m), floor area (5000 sq m) and dwelling types mixture.
This residential slab features a southern façade with large loggias and a northern one with five emerging volumes, which allows to multiply the dwelling aspects. A central and naturally illuminated corridor leads to the flats.
As to the tower project, the building complies with the required technical standards and its modular composition fits in a wide range of situations.
